NORTH WALL EXPEDITION ABSEIL ADVENTURE AT MT BUFFALO
The North Wall 300 metre abseil adventure is an icon adventure at Mt Buffalo National park. There are four pitches on the descent. The first is 160 Metres and the remainder from 40 to 50 metres using a twin rope pull down system.
FIRST PITCH FROM BELOW
We commence the adventure with a briefing and rigging at the Mt Buffalo Chalet then walk to the descent point at the top of the North Wall. On completion of the abseils we have lunch at crystal brook at the base of the wall (might be able to see climbers on one of the famous multi-day rock climbs)
Then its a mountaineering trip to the top of the Gorge again either up the South Wall or via the climbers cairn trail to the top. In all from 6 to 9 hours!
ITS A BIG CLIFF
YOU WILL NEED
Clothing appropriate to the weather conditions (we recommend loose long trousers)
In Colder weather you may need thermal underwear, polar fleece clothing etc.
Note that short tops that allow skin to show at waist or which are sleeveless are not acceptable and that Polo Shirts or similar that can be tucked in to trousers are recommended (Rope burns can result from wearing unsuitable tops)
Stout Walking Boots or shoes(Rubber soled boots or runners can be used by beginners)
A Cap
Sunscreen
Personal medication as required (such as asthma puffers)
Lunch
Water and energy snacks

Our prices for beginners climbing for 2010/11 are:
One to Four persons Minimum fee of $1440.00
five persons plus from $350 pp
Bookings and activity fees must be arranged and paid in advance.
We supply industry standard helmets, harnesses and other safety equipment
