MEETING PLACE ABSEILING AND CAVING

For abseiling and caving adventures we will meet you at the stone hut at the lower end of the Gorge Visitors Car Park

(Opposite the Old Mount Buffalo Chalet)

DRIVING TO MOUNT BUFFALO NATIONAL PARK

Drive along the Great Alpine Road to Porepunkah (Just short of Bright) and then cross the Ovens river bridge, turning right on the roundabout; then follow the signs to the Mount Buffalo National Park.

The drive to the top of the mountain takes about 30 minutes and on reaching the snow plains at the summit you will arrive at a road junction.

Take the left hand option (well sign posted) to the Chalet (Closed) and the Gorge.

On arriving, adjacent to the Chalet buildings, turn left into the Gorge Visitors Car Park.

MEETING PLACE

On the left hand side of the lower end of the gorge visitors car park is a stone picnic hut - we meet next to the hut
