As per arrangements for private groups
THE ADVENTURE
We first have a practice abseil or two from the 25 Metre beginners
abseil site near the stone hut in the visitors car park. This abseil
has some interesting challenges but is very achievable. We then move on
to our 35 Metre Beginners Abseil site (Echo Point). This site has a
great view of the gorge and is one of the better small abseils on Mt
Buffalo.
Both abseil sites are close to the Mt Buffalo Gorge Visitors car park
and also the toilets and other facilities (The Visitors Car park is just
opposite the Mt Buffalo Chalet).
After lunch we rig the first pitch of the South Wall Abseil and abseil down into the gorge - there are three pitches involved - then a hike back up to the top of the gorge (about 40 minutes)
